Basketball Recap: Stillwater Comes Up Short

Stillwater was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 43-38 heartbreaker at the hands of the Enid Plainsmen. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pioneers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 40-27 back in November of 2024.

Stillwater's record is now 1-6. As for Enid, their victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-3.

Stillwater and Enid could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings. Stillwater (ranked 289th) will meet Bixby (ranked 16th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Enid will challenge Edmond North at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 189 places (209 vs. 20).
