Softball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is St. Frederick's Tenth in Last 12 Outings

St. Frederick won the last time they faced Delta Charter and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 17-1 margin over the Storm. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won 14 games by nine runs or more so far this season.

Landry MacLin and Ella Pankey did most of the damage at the plate: MacLin went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and four RBI, while Pankey went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those four RBI gave MacLin a new career-high. Hannah Creighton was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-1.

St. Frederick is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Delta Charter, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Frederick will head out to take on Block at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Delta Charter, they will venture away from home to square off against Delhi at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
