Basketball Game Preview: Tate Aggies vs. Escambia Gators

The Tate Aggies will square off against the Escambia Gators at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Tate is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Pensacola Catholic just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 48-29 bruising from the Crusaders.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Amerie McGee, who posted eight points. Brelynn Morris was another key player, putting up eight points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Escambia, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They strolled past Elberta with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 48-31.

Escambia's win came from a few key players Tate will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Tyauna English, who earned 21 points. Another player making a difference was Demi Liu, who had 19 points.

Escambia's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Tate, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

Tate skirted past Escambia 41-38 when the teams last played on January 8th. Does Tate have another victory up their sleeve, or will Escambia turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
