Football Recap: Western Alamance Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Western Alamance dropped to 7-3 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They lost 27-7 to the Southern Alamance Patriots. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 21-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

As for Southern Alamance, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-3. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by 20 points or more this season.

Southern Alamance found their leader in sophomore Sincere Thompson, who rushed for 95 yards and three scores. Thompson has become a key player for the Patriots: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 2-3 otherwise. Southern Alamance also got a significant boost from Tustin Johnson, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 82 yards.

Western Alamance has already played their next matchup, a 20-12 defeat against South Granville on the 7th. Southern Alamance does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
