Baseball Recap: Norcom Takes a Loss

Norcom extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 3-16. They came up short against the Maury Commodores, falling 17-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Commodores this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 24-0 back in April.

As for Maury, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by ten runs or more this season.

For Maury's part, they got a massive performance out of Adrian Maxwell, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Those three hits gave Maxwell a new career-high. Andrew Hund also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Looking ahead, Norcom will challenge Arcadia at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Maury, they are taking a road trip to challenge Grassfield at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
