Elmwood-Murdock took a loss when they played away from home last Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Sacred Heart by a score of 48-37.

Meanwhile, Weeping Water came up short against Pawnee City on Tuesday and fell 60-47. While losing is never fun, Weeping Water can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 231st, while Pawnee City is ranked 60th).

Elmwood-Murdock pushed their record up to 4-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.5 points per game. As for Weeping Water, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
