Volleyball Recap: Pace's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Pace entered their tilt with Edcouch-Elsa on Saturday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Yellowjackets. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 3-1 victory back in September.

Pace got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-8, 30-28.

Pace's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Andrea Salgado led the charge by getting 16 digs and three assists. Salgado has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 12 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Melody Valerio, who had 13 digs and two aces.

Pace's victory bumped their record up to 26-6. As for Edcouch-Elsa, their defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 17-15.

Pace wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Lopez on the 7th. As for Edcouch-Elsa, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Weslaco East on the 7th.
