Volleyball Recap: Union County Beats Dawson County for Their Third Straight Victory + How To Watch

Union County hadn't done well against Dawson County recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Panthers had just enough and edged out the Tigers 2-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Union County had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-19, 15-13.

Reese Jones paced Union County's offense, picking up nine kills. Jones got some help from Kamryn Brown and her 18 assists. Jones was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Coincidentally, Union County and Dawson County will both be playing Gilmer the next time they take the court. The Tigers will head out to face the Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Panthers will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
