Basketball Recap: Grovetown Piles Up the Points Against Greenbrier

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Grovetown). They breezed past the Greenbrier Wolfpack to the tune of 86-53 on Saturday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Amare Pryce continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 7-for-14 to rack up 22 points. The matchup was his sixth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Bryce Lewis, who shot 58% from the field en route to 16 points.

Grovetown was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-2. As for Greenbrier, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-5.

Grovetown wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 70-62 win against Heritage on the 9th. As for Greenbrier, they will head out on the road to square off against Brunswick at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Wolfpack surely won't give up without a fight.
