The Robinson Bulldogs will square off against the South Rowan Raiders at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Robinson played against Mallard Creek on Monday and lost via forfeit.

Kendra Nichols put in work no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in March of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one triple.

Nichols wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Aniyah Jones, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-1. Wendy Craig was another, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Things were looking good for South Rowan after they put the first points on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of West Rowan by a score of 8-7.

Leisha Carter made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Kynlee Dextraze, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Robinson suffered a grim 13-3 defeat to South Rowan when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Robinson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
