Football Recap: Golden Valley Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Golden Valley's offense. They lost 26-0 to the Hart Hawks on Wednesday. The Grizzlies' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Hart's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hannah Cook led the charge by throwing for 248 yards and three TDs. Those 248 passing yards gave Cook a new career-high. Hart's leading receiver Natalie Williams was Cook's top target yet again, picking up 114 receiving yards and one score.

Golden Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Hart, they pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Golden Valley is set to square off against their familiar foe Canyon at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hart will challenge rival Burroughs at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
