Football Game Preview: P.K. Yonge Blue Wave vs. Hamilton County Trojans + How To Watch

The P.K. Yonge Blue Wave will face off against the Hamilton County Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. P.K. Yonge comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

P.K. Yonge's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Oak Hall on Thursday. They took a blow against the Eagles, falling 44-0. Considering the last time the Blue Wave couldn't score was back in August, the team can't take the result too hard.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hamilton County, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They blew past Jefferson County 32-0 on Friday. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by 22 points or more this season.

A big part of Hamilton County's victory came down to the chemistry between Haigen Johnson and his top target Jakori Johnson. Haigen threw for 238 yards and three TDs on only 15 passes while Jakori picked up 192 receiving yards and three scores. With that strong performance, Jakori is now averaging an impressive 115.2 receiving yards per game.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Hamilton County's defense and their five sacks. Leading the way was Gerald Johnson with 2.5. He also made five total tackles, which is notable because Hamilton County is 2-1 when he posts at least three total tackles, but 1-2 otherwise. The Trojans got some further help from Keiondre Jones: he picked up 1.5 sacks and made seven total tackles (2.5 for loss).

P.K. Yonge's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Hamilton County, they moved to 3-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
