Baseball Recap: Freedom Comes Up Short

Alexander Central hit Freedom with a five-run second inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Patriots came up short against the Cougars, falling 13-1. This is the second loss in a row for Freedom and nudges their season record down to 4-6. As for Alexander Central, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1.

Looking ahead, Freedom will challenge Shelby at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Golden Lions will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Alexander Central, they will square off against North Davidson at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
