Volleyball Recap: Morse Gets the Win + How To Watch

Morse hadn't beaten Mar Vista on the road since September 4, 2015 but that history sure didn't bother them on Thursday. The Tigers blew past the Mariners 3-0. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-15, 25-16.

Morse's offense was headlined by Shaylnn Copes and Iliana-Hope Faustino, who picked up ten kills apiece. They got some help from Hailee Divina and her 28 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Several Mariners players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sephril Vismonte, who had seven digs and three aces.

Morse's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Mar Vista, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Morse has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Clairemont on the 26th. As for Mar Vista, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Mission Hills on the 29th.
