Baseball Recap: Oasis Academy Wins Going Away Against Silver Stage

Oasis Academy won the last time they faced Silver Stage and things went their way on Friday too. Oasis Academy blew past Silver Stage 13-3. The result was nothing new for the Bighorns, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

Zachary Budner made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in May of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ryder McNabb, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Kayden White was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5.

Oasis Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .564. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Silver Stage only posted an OBP of .320.

Oasis Academy's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Silver Stage, they dropped their record down to 5-6 with the defeat, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Oasis Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against Silver Stage: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
