Broadwater Academy extended their winning streak to eight on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 18-2 in the process. They came out on top against the Atlantic Shores Christian Seahawks by a score of 8-3. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 14-0 win two weeks ago.

Ramsey Revelle spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Adrianna Holloway, who went 2-for-5 with one home run and three RBI. Neiley Guinan was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Broadwater Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .553. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Atlantic Shores Christian only posted an OBP of .300.

As for Atlantic Shores Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. They just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

On Atlantic Shores Christian's side, Layla Berry made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Skylar Carter, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Looking ahead, Broadwater Academy will head out to face off against Greenbrier Christian Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Atlantic Shores Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
