Softball Recap: Kimberly Bulldogs vs. Buhl Indians

Mallory Kelsey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive pitching appearances.

On the hitting side, Kimberly got a massive performance out of Emily Hanchey, who fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Chavez, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-5.

On Buhl's side, Roxy Sheen made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, and a double. Jenna Ambrose was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Kimberly pushed their record up to 11-4 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Buhl, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-4.
