Basketball Recap: Mackinac Island Takes a Loss

Mackinac Island lost against Big Bay de Noc on Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Mackinac Island Lakers had to suffer through a 60-27 loss at the hands of the Big Bay de Noc Black Bears. The Lakers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mackinac Island's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Big Bay de Noc, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mackinac Island will head out to face off against Maplewood Baptist Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Big Bay de Noc, they will take on Superior Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Big Bay de Noc's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.
