Basketball Recap: Holdrege's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Holdrege was the 41-40 winner over Ogallala when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Holdrege Dusters took a 58-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ogallala Indians on Tuesday. The Dusters have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ogallala's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hayden Shaw, who went 6 of 13 en route to 19 points and six rebounds. Shaw continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Shaydyn Rasby, who went 8 for 12 on her way to 16 points and seven boards.

Holdrege's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-8. As for Ogallala, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Holdrege didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 52-29 defeat against Broken Bow on the 30th. Ogallala has also already played their next contest, a 55-49 loss against Minden on the 31st.
