             Alonso suffered their biggest  loss since October 27, 2023 on Friday. They were dealt  a  59-28 defeat at the hands of the Plant City Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Ravens of the  54-14 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in September of 2023.
 When it comes to explaining why Alonso lost, don't look at  Joseph Glennon. Despite the final result, he rushed for 147 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, and also threw for 163 yards and three touchdowns. Glennon is becoming a predictor of Alonso's success: when he posts  at  least 80  rushing yards the team is 3-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't).
 Leading Plant City to victory were  Tony Marshall and  Chris Denson.  Marshall rushed for 201 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.2 yards per carry, while  Denson threw for 301 yards and three touchdowns while completing 86.4% of his passes. With that strong performance,  Marshall is now averaging an impressive 106.4  rushing yards per game. A healthy portion of that aerial production (106 yards to be exact)  went to  Josh Tyson, who also brought in a  receiving touchdown.
 Alonso's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Plant City, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record  this season.
 Alonso will welcome Sumner  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Alonso is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 38.4  points per game  this season. As for Plant City, they are taking a road trip to  face off against Newsome  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Newsome comes in on four and Plant City on three.
