Basketball Recap: TJ Duhe Key Part of a Team Effort in Raiders Win

On Friday, the Archbishop Rummel Raiders didn't have too much trouble with the Carencro Bears as they won 63-47. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Bears are ranked 130th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Archbishop Rummel's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was TJ Duhe, who went 6 for 9 on his way to 12 points in addition to seven assists and four steals. The dominant performance gave Duhe a new career-high in assists. Jackson Cosentino was another key player, going 8 of 13 en route to 19 points and five boards.

Archbishop Rummel is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Carencro, they dropped their record down to 10-15 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Archbishop Rummel wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 46-38 win against Teurlings Catholic on the 18th. Carencro has also already played their next match (against Northside), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
