Baseball Recap: Pinellas Park Comes Up Short

Pinellas Park extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to eight on Friday, dropping them down to 0-6. They came up short against the Keswick Christian Crusaders, falling 13-1. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Crusaders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2025.

As for Keswick Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games.

For Keswick Christian's part, Dylan Williams was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Williams has posted since back in February of 2025. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Caleb Stratis was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Jameson Todd was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Pinellas Park will take on Largo at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Keswick Christian, they will face off against Riverview Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
