Football Recap: De La Salle Collegiate Finds Playoff Glory Versus Port Huron + How To Watch

It's playoff time, and De La Salle Collegiate had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Port Huron Red Hawks, posting a 34-6 win. The result was nothing new for the Pilots, who have now won four matchups by 22 points or more so far this season.

A big part of De La Salle Collegiate's victory came down to the chemistry between Grayson Thurston and his top target Damion King IV. Thurston threw for 236 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.2% of his passes while King IV picked up 169 receiving yards and a pair of scores. King IV really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 71 yards.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something De La Salle Collegiate proved: they limited Port Huron to a paltry 2.4 yards per carry. That's the most yards per carry they've posted since back in September of 2024.

De La Salle Collegiate is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.3 points over those games. As for Port Huron, they moved to 7-4 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, De La Salle Collegiate will square off against King at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Crusaders' defense has only allowed 13.3 points per game this season, so the Pilots' offense will have their work cut out for them. Port Huron does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
