Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Owyhee). They put the hurt on the Mountain View Mavericks with a sharp 88-62 victory on Friday. The Storm pushed the score to 70-43 by the end of the third, a deficit the Mavericks cut but never quite recovered from.

Several Mavericks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brody Tolman, who went 5 of 8 en route to 15 points. Another player making a difference was Zach Smith, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 12 points.

Owyhee pushed their record up to 12-4 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 22.7 points. As for Mountain View, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.

Owyhee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-45 victory against Ridgevue on the 31st. As for Mountain View, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 74-65 loss against Rocky Mountain on the 29th.
