St. John had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Thibodaux Tigers. Seven seems to be a good number for the Eagles as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

St. John's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Thibodaux, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season.
