Softball Game Preview: Mars Fightin' Planets vs. Shaler Area Titans

Mars hasn't had much luck against Shaler Area recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Fightin' Planets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Titans at 3:45 p.m. Mars has given up an average of 11.3 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Mars fell victim to Fox Chapel and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 13-0 to the Foxes.

Meanwhile, Shaler Area entered their tilt with New Castle on Monday with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. They never let the Hurricanes get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. Considering the Titans have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Shaler Area's victory bumped their record up to 15-1. As for Mars, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.
