After a string of three wins, Aztec's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 8-5 to the Carlsbad Cavemen/Cavegirls.

Madeline Kaiser was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Reagan Bradshaw was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Aztec's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Carlsbad, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Aztec Tigers duke it out with Bloomfield Bobcats at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carlsbad, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Artesia at 4:30 p.m. on April 7.
