Austin Parker has been named player of the year. "Austin continued to get better each year of his High School Career. He capped it off his Senior Season with career high numbers in batting average (.495), doubles (14), homeruns (6), on base percentage (.560), slugging (.878), walks (14), and stolen bases (12). He continues to be stellar in the field locking down centerfield with his glove, arm, and coverage. On the mound he continued to strikeout batters at a rate of 2.6 strikeouts for each walk. He tallied 56 strikeouts in 36 innings. He finished with a FIP of 2.134 on the mound. Unfortunately, he suffered an injury with 2 games remaining in the season after not starting the game and entering to pinch hit with the team down 13 to 1. He not only had a fantastic statistical season, but was a vocal leader and encourager to his teammates. He set the bar and the example for how to play. He is in Oklahoma record book in the top 13 for doubles (48) and top 34 for hits (168). This award may not align with the MVP given at Banquet"
