Ithaca Yellowjackets (Ithaca, MI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Shepherd Bluejays (Shepherd, MI), 49-35 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Ithaca upgrades its record to 16-1 on the season. The Yellowjackets travel to Breckenridge (Breckenridge, MI) to encounter the Huskies in a Tri-Valley - West bout on Friday, February 19. The Huskies go into the bout with a record of 5-8. Breckenridge won 45-31 in their recent league bout against St. Louis (St. Louis, MI)

Next up, the Bluejays encounter the Swan Valley Vikings (Saginaw, MI) in a Tri-Valley - Central bout, on Friday, February 19. Shepherd will attempt to upgrade on its 11-4 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 9-5 record after their 83-68 league win over Ovid-Elsie (Elsie, MI).
