Menominee Maroons (Menominee, MI) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Stephenson Eagles (Stephenson, MI), 47-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Menominee upgrades its record to 2-8 on the season. The Maroons travel to Kingsford (Kingsford, MI) to clash with the Flivvers in a Great Northern U.P. bout on Monday, January 21. The Flivvers go into the bout with a record of 4-6. Kingsford won 84-47 in their recent non-league bout against North Dickinson (Felch, MI)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Superior Central Cougars (Eben Junction, MI) in a Central Upper Peninsula bout, on Friday, January 18. Stephenson will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 3-6 record after their 42-38 non-league win over Republic-Michigamme (Republic, MI).
