Minnesota High School Basketball - Maple River tops St. Clair
Maple River Eagles (Mapleton, MN) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host St. Clair Cyclones (St. Clair, MN), 58-50 in a league match.
With the victory, Maple River advances its record to 15-17 on the year. The Eagles travel to Oakes (Oakes, ND) to meet the Tornadoes in a non-league match on Thursday, February 12. The Tornadoes enter the match with a record of 13-3. Oakes won 86-54 in their recent league match against Sargent County (Milnor, ND)
The Cyclones now own a 9-10 record. They play next when they travel to Minnesota Valley Lutheran for a AA Section 2 contest on Tuesday, February 17. St. Clair will battle a Chargers team coming off a 64-58 league loss to Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial (Lake Crystal, MN). The Chargers record now stands at 10-7.
