Perham Yellowjackets (Perham, MN) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Park Rapids Panthers (Park Rapids, MN), 64-48 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Perham upgrades its record to 6-7 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton (Glyndon, MN) to play the Rebels in a Heart O'Lakes bout on Thursday, January 15. The Rebels come into the bout with a record of 7-5. Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton lost 63-55 in their recent league bout against Barnesville (Barnesville, MN)

Next up, the Panthers play the Staples-Motley Cardinals (Staples, MN) in a Mid-State bout, on Thursday, January 15. Park Rapids will attempt to upgrade on its 6-6 season record. The Cardinals come into the bout with a 6-8 record after their 72-51 non-league loss to Long Prairie-Grey Eagle (Long Prairie, MN).
