The Linn Wildcats routed the host Laquey Hornets softball squad by a count of 23-1 in Wednesday's non-league battle.

The Wildcats (9-3) will now prepare for their battle against South Callaway (Mokane, MO). The Bulldogs go into the Class 2 District 9 battle with a 4-4 record. In their last battle, South Callaway was routed by California (California, MO), 13-1, in a non-league battle.

The Hornets now sport a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Iberia for a non-league battle on Thursday, September 14.
