Walnut Wildcats (Walnut, MS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Kossuth Aggies (Kossuth, MS), 63-58 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Walnut upgrades its record to 10-13 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Oxford (Oxford, MS) to play the Chargers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 9. The Chargers go into the bout with a record of 15-9. Oxford lost 72-65 in their recent league bout against New Hope (Columbus, MS)

Next up, the Aggies play the Lafayette Commodores (Oxford, MS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 9. Kossuth will attempt to upgrade on its 12-12 season record. The Commodores go into the bout with a 4-12 record after their 51-32 league loss to Senatobia (Senatobia, MS).
