Tupelo Golden Wave (Tupelo, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Hamilton Lions (Hamilton, MS), 16-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Golden Wave now own a 8-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Amory for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 1. Tupelo will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 6-3 league loss to Corinth (Corinth, MS). The Panthers record now stands at 4-6.

With the loss, Hamilton falls to 5-3 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Smithville (Smithville, MS) to battle the Seminoles in a 1A Region 4 challenge on Thursday, March 31. The Seminoles enter the challenge with a record of 11-2. Smithville won 15-0 in their recent league challenge against Houlka (Houlka, MS)
