The crowd at Monday's league match between the Hatley Tigers (Amory, MS) and the visiting Walnut Wildcats (Walnut, MS), saw Hatley's softball squad nip Walnut by a count of 8-3.

The Tigers now sport a 12-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mantachie for a 2A Region 1 match on Thursday, April 2. Hatley will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 11-2 non-league loss to Booneville (Booneville, MS). The Mustangs record now stands at 3-5.

With the loss, Walnut falls to 3-7 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Baldwyn (Baldwyn, MS) to face the Bearcats in a 2A Region 1 match on Thursday, April 2. The Bearcats enter the match with a record of 0-3. Baldwyn lost 8-3 in their recent league match against Hatley (Amory, MS)
