In Saturday's non-league contest, the Stringer Red Devils (Stringer, MS) softball squad got by the host Sumrall Bobcats (Sumrall, MS), by a count of 4-3.

The Red Devils (8-0) will now prepare for their battle against West Jones (Laurel, MS). The Mustangs go into the non-league battle with a 5-8 record. In their last battle, West Jones was edged by Taylorsville (Taylorsville, MS), 4-3, in a non-league battle.

The Bobcats now sport a 8-6 record. They play next when they travel to Seminary for a non-league battle on Tuesday, March 30. Sumrall will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 13-3 non-league loss to Petal (Petal, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-4.
