Power Pirates (Power, MT) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Augusta Elks (Augusta, MT), 54-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Power upgrades its record to 8-6 on the season. The Pirates travel to Chester-Joplin-Inverness (Chester, MT) to play the Hawks in a non-league bout on Friday, February 3. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 8-6. Chester-Joplin-Inverness lost 53-52 in their recent non-league bout against North Star (Rudyard, MT)

Next up, the Elks play the Highwood Mountaineers (Highwood, MT) in a C District 8 bout, on Saturday, February 4. Augusta will attempt to upgrade on its 9-6 season record.
