Dylan Shubert has been named player of the year. "In a season which was filled with many emotions as the class of 2018's prestigious run finally came to an end, Dylan Shubert led the way behind the dish as the clear leader for the team. He batted .403 while collecting an astounding 31 hits in just 23 games. He also caught every single pitch all season behind the dish while having a mere 6 passed balls all season as he also increased his caught stealing percentage. He was the energy that made the team go when not much was happening as he continuously would bring life to the dugout with his intensity that never ceased to exist. He was named to the 2018 SPC all-conference team as it was well deserved that the senior be recognized on the elite 11 man roster. He was named co-mvp with fellow senior Cord Butler voted by the team who also had a tremendous season as the most energetic player in the conference by far. Antonio Knight was also a snub for the all-conference team as he led in batting average (.426) and didn't make a single error."
