StrengthsTeam Strengths can be summed up in one word, DEPTH. Our team has grown to over 20 players and the skill gaps are beginning to close. This makes generating a starting lineup more difficult for the coaches but the positive of substituting without the reduction of ball skills is definitely a strength. The number of players making the team also helps with overcoming injuries during the season. We should be well positioned for the new NCHSAA classification and conference.
ReturningCaptain Kaden Parker (Sr.) (2024 All Region) moves from the mid-field to the backline to give the defense a boost. He is joined by teammate Elvis Manzo (Jr.) (2024 All Region) at the Defensive Mid-field position. Together the pair should provide a positive central defensive presence. On the offense, Peyton Mattera (Sr.) (2024 ALL Region) brings leadership and senior experience to the attacking players.
NewcomersWe welcome Samson Feamster (So.) to the Edenton Aces this year. Feamster played at Laney HS in Wilmington, NC during the 2024-2025 season. He brings experience to our mid-field and should be a very solid addition to our team. Locally, Chowan Middle School standout Giovanny Salinas-Villalobos (Fr.) shows real promise as a platooning mid-fielder from our summer workouts. Giovanny is one of six freshman who look to make the varsity squad this year.
