North Carolina High School Softball - Murphy can't get by Hayesville
In Friday's league contest, the Hayesville Yellowjackets (Hayesville, NC) softball team held off the visiting Murphy Bulldogs (Murphy, NC), by a margin of 7-6.
With the triumph, Hayesville moves its record to 9-5 on the year. The Yellowjackets travel to Rosman (Rosman, NC) to play the Tigers in a Smoky Mountain contest on Tuesday, May 6. The Tigers come into the contest with a record of 3-12.
In their next game, the Bulldogs play the Robbinsville Black Knights (Robbinsville, NC) in a Smoky Mountain battle, on Monday, May 5. Murphy will attempt to advance on its 8-4 season record.
