Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Bayard Tigers (Bayard, NE) and the visiting Mitchell Tigers (Mitchell, NE), witnessed Bayard's basketball squad beat Mitchell by a margin of 57-39.

The Tigers (17-1) will now prepare for their test against Kimball (Kimball, NE). The Longhorns go into the non-league test with a 13-3 record. In their last test, Kimball defeated Gordon-Rushville (Gordon, NE), 70-43, in a league test.

The Tigers now own a 8-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Gordon-Rushville for a C1 District 12 test on Saturday, February 7. Mitchell will clash with a Mustangs squad coming off a 70-43 league loss to Kimball (Kimball, NE). The Mustangs record now stands at 3-12.
