The Boyd County Spartans basketball team scored 71 points and held the visiting Ewing Tigers to 46 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Spartans now sport a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Santee for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 3. Boyd County will meet a Warriors team coming off a 42-40 non-league win over Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NE). The Warriors record now stands at 4-3.

The Tigers (1-5) will now prepare for their contest against Clearwater/Orchard (Clearwater, NE). The Cyclones enter the D1 District 6 contest with a 1-5 record. In their last contest, Clearwater/Orchard was routed by St. Francis (Humphrey, NE), 75-44, in a non-league contest.
