Johnson-Brock Eagles (Johnson, NE) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Freeman Falcons (Adams, NE), 33-32 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Johnson-Brock upgrades its record to 17-5 on the campaign. The Eagles host Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer (Humboldt, NE) to play the Titans in a D1 District 1 bout on Friday, February 9. The Titans come into the bout with a record of 6-14. Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer lost 42-23 in their recent non-league bout against Falls City (Falls City, NE)

Next up, the Falcons play the Sterling Jets (Sterling, NE) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 16. Freeman will attempt to upgrade on its 16-6 season record. The Jets come into the bout with a 11-12 record after their 63-60 league loss to Tri County (DeWitt, NE).
