Maxwell Wildcats (Maxwell, NE) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting McPherson County Longhorns (Tryon, NE), 71-35 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Maxwell upgrades its record to 5-4 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Elwood (Elwood, NE) to clash with the Pirates in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 0-8. Elwood lost 78-33 in their recent league bout against Sumner-Eddyville-Miller (Sumner, NE)

Next up, the Longhorns clash with the Maywood/Hayes Center Wolves (Maywood, NE) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 7. McPherson County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record.
