Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the McCool Junction Mustangs (McCool Junction, NE) and the visiting Tri County Trojans (DeWitt, NE), saw McCool Junction's basketball squad knock off Tri County by a count of 61-47.
With the victory, McCool Junction upgrades its record to 8-10 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Dorchester (Dorchester, NE) to play the Longhorns in a D2 District 2 challenge on Friday, February 14. The Longhorns come into the challenge with a record of 5-13. Dorchester lost 45-44 in their recent league challenge against Hampton (Hampton, NE)
Next up, the Trojans play the Wilber-Clatonia Wolverines (Wilber, NE) in a C1 District 5 challenge, on Saturday, February 15. Tri County will attempt to upgrade on its 6-14 season record. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a 11-7 record after their 39-32 non-league win over David City (David City, NE).
