The Malcolm Clippers softball team scored 6 runs and limited the host Freeman Falcons to 3 in the Clippers non-league triumph on Wednesday.
With the triumph, Malcolm moves its record to 11-5 on the year. The Clippers host Conestoga (Murray, NE) to clash with the Cougars in a non-league game on Saturday, October 4. The Cougars come into the game with a record of 15-4.
In their next game, the Falcons clash with the Cass County Central Crush (Louisville, NE) in a non-league game, on Monday, October 6. Freeman will attempt to move on its 10-8 season record.



Malcolm started the game with a 2-run home run in the top of the first. Freeman answered with two solo home runs in the bottom of the inning by Katie Meyer and Elizabeth Nelson. Freeman scored again in the fourth inning. Marissa Waters singled to get on base. She stole second, and was moved to third off a single by Tasha Bredvick. Waters scored on an error by the Clippers. Malcolm came back in the top of the seventh with four unearned runs. The Falcons couldn't rally back in the bottom of the inning.
