The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Chadron Cardinals (Chadron, NE) and the host Gering Bulldogs (Gering, NE), saw Chadron's volleyball squad nip Gering by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Chadron upgrades its record to 12-11 on the year. The Cardinals travel to Mitchell (Mitchell, NE) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Saturday, October 6. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 13-3. Mitchell won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Morrill (Morrill, NE)

The Bulldogs now own a 14-14 record. They play next when they travel to Scottsbluff for a B District 8 bout on Saturday, October 6. Gering will play a Bearcats squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Bridgeport (Bridgeport, NE). The Bearcats record now stands at 4-15.
