The Helias Crusaders will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the Hazelwood East Spartans at 5:30 p.m. Helias will be strutting in after a win while the Spartans will be coming in after a loss.
Helias was handed a 20-point loss in their previous outing, but they didn't let that bad energy affect their game against the Dutchmen on Tuesday. Helias skirted past the Dutchmen 36-34. The win was just what Helias needed coming off of a 51-31 loss in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Hazelwood East's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight defeat. They took a 42-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Affton. Hazelwood East has struggled against the Cougars recently, as their contest on Wednesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Helias' victory bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Hazelwood East, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-7.
