The Piqua Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their seventh straight loss. They fell to Stebbins 67-63. Piqua has struggled against Stebbins recently, as their game on Wednesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Stebbins' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aubrey Fritz led the charge by scoring 19 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fritz has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Mackenize Roche, who scored 14 points along with six assists and five rebounds.
Piqua has been struggling recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season. As for Stebbins, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Piqua will challenge Fairborn at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Stebbins on the road again on Wednesday and play against Tippecanoe at 7:15 p.m. on January 24th.
